We are naturally small thinking beings. We tend to think that the world revolves around us, or people exist to serve us, or perhaps that something is set in motion because of us.
Whatever the circumstance, it usually comes back to us.
So when we set out to accomplish a goal or just do something different with our lives, taking a different path… sometimes we hit a wall.
Imagine for a moment a wall set right in front of you. It could even have a mirror in it, but still a wall. And let’s say the goal that you want to accomplish is behind this wall. Now, how would you get through this wall to reach your goal if you saw no way around it?
What most of us do is set a goal, write it down, hang it on our wall and then expect to go far in it. Our focus is on the wall therefore it’s as far as we’ll ever get.
Now let’s say that there is a window in the wall. A place where you can look out and others can look in. Now you can see your goal, but it may still be a struggle to get to it through a window.
The best possible thing is to get rid of the wall altogether, stop just reading our to do lists about accomplishing our goals, and just start doing.
What are some ways that you’ve found helpful in removing the wall and to start accomplishing your goals? Don’t forget to comment and share!
